Media Hound!
November 30, 2007 |
Good morning everyone! It’s been a busy morning already as we’ve had to continually answer the door. Seems everyone wants my dog, Bear’s autograph as he
made the paper…AGAIN. Poor little fellow is just hounded by his fans and the paparazzi! Britney Spears thinks SHE has it bad? Poor Bear is just hounded…
I’m just full of puns this morning!
Yes, I am proud of our little Bear. He’s actually my parents’ dog but he’s wormed his way into my heart. (I still love cats though!) Our pets. They mean the world to us and how good FOR us they are! Our little “beasts” as Abraham (of Abraham-Hicks) calls them. All kinds of studies have been done and the result is: our pets help us emotionally. They make us feel good.
For a great many of us our pets ARE our family.
It’s funny how dogs and cats know the inside of folks better than other folks do, isn’t it?
–Eleanor H. Porter
Animals are such agreeable friends - they ask no questions, they pass no criticisms.
–George Eliot
On the Internet, nobody knows you’re a dog.
–Peter Steiner
“You can say any fool thing to a dog, and the dog will give you this look that says, `My God, you’re RIGHT! I NEVER would’ve thought of that!’”
–Dave Barry
The great pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool
of yourself with him and not only will he not scold you,
but he will make a fool of himself too.–Samuel Butler
Dogs and cats instinctively know the exact moment their
owners will wake up. Then they wake them 10 minutes sooner.–Unknown
Dogs are our link to paradise. They don’t know evil or jealousy
or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious
afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not
boring - it was peace.–Milan Kundera
We give dogs time we can spare, space we can spare and love
we can spare. And in return, dogs give us their all. It’s
the best deal man has ever made.–M. Facklam
The Beasts Know It
If you know that all is well, you know all you need to know. And if you know life is supposed to be fun, you know more than almost anybody else knows. And if you know that the way you feel is your indicator of how connected you are to Source, then you know that which only a handful of Deliberate Creators, respective to the total population, really know. The beasts all know it. Your animals know that all is well. Your animals live in the moment. They understand the power of their now. They expect the Universe to yield to them. They don’t worry or fret or conjure or make laws or rules or try to regulate. They are Pure Positive Energy. Your beasts vibrate more on the Energy scale of contentment than of passion. Their desire was set forth from Nonphysical, and continues to be set forth by those, like you, who want Energy balance, who want sustenance. The difference between the beast and the human is that the beast is more general in its intent. The human is usually less blended, usually less allowing of the Energy to flow, but is more specific. And that is why the human is seen to be the Creator while the beast is more the balancer of Energy.
–Abraham. Abraham-Hicks. Excerpted from the workshop in Philadelphia, PA on Thursday, October 15th, 1998
I hope you have enjoyed this slightly different Journey of Inspiration post. May you enjoy your place on this Earth with the Beasts. Treat them right and honor them.

We love animals in general! We have a mini schnauzer that we love. We also have five cats and I just love them. I couldn’t survive without my kitties. I have one that is very special to my heart. Originally, we bought a cat from the local shelter. A few days after that, two wild cats showed up in our back yard. They wouldn’t let us touch them and were very scared of people. They continued to come to our yard and eat for more than a year. Finally, they warmed up to us and let us pet them. One was a female and the other was a male. The female stayed pregnant and we could never get her to come inside. She lost about three liters of kittens (all died in the woods) before we finally snatched her up one day. We brought her inside and decided to take her to the vet to be fixed. Well, guess what? She was pregnant again! LOL! She had five kittens in our house. She is a bob tail and two of her kittens also were. We took the healthy ones to the shelter and they were adopted. We kept the two kittens with short tails and they are still with us. You can see a picture of one of them at my blog right now. Love those kitties!
