Go With The Flow

go with the flowGood afternoon! Yes, I’m a bit later in posting again. It’s all good though as I’ve been busy. One of my online businesses is exploding. (Now is your chance to get in - AND it’s free).

We got our lights up and we are looking all pretty. So now that I finished that, I began thinking about what would make a good Daily Inspiration post today. On one of the online discussion groups I belong to, a man asked a very good question. He asked, “what does ‘go with the flow’ really mean?”

And he wanted the answer in clear, concise terms.

Contrast helps you to identify desire

Contrast helps you to identify desire. Desire is summoning. It’s always flowing through you. You have the opportunity of opening to the harmony of the vibration of your desire or not. As the desires are being summoned through you, and you go with the flow, you thrive, but if you use things to be your excuse for not going with the flow, you are arguing for your limitations. We want to show you how to go with the flow. Which means nothing more than finding vibrational harmony with your own desire, and letting the Universal Energy that your desire is summoning to it flow to it through you. It is optimum creative experience.

–Abraham. Abraham-Hicks. Excerpted from the workshop in Silver Spring, MD on Saturday, October 21st, 2000

Well, for some that’s clear. For others its still telling you to “go with the flow” but not quite HOW. I’ve been thinking about that. How DO you “go with the flow”?

I’m sure there are many answers. I’m sure quite a few on the group will answer and have very good answers. To me, I’ve decided it means to stop beating things such as wants and desires into the ground. To not go over and over them in our minds until we are thinking of little else. We tend to obsess about things or situations that we want.

When we ask the Universe for that something, how many of us just “give it to the Universe” and let it go. It’s hard isn’t it? We have attachment to that want or desire.

I don’t have all the answers here. I just thought it would be a fantastic experiment for us all to think about. What does “go with the flow” mean to you? And can you do it?

Feel free to post your thoughts in the comments!

Blessings on all your hopes and dreams.

Holly

Oh! Also a great post. My hubby and I debate about this all the time. I am CONSTANTLY telling him to relax and go with the flow. I honestly believe that once you desire something or have a vision, then you just relax, enjoy and continue to go about your day. Don’t run it over in your head a thousand times, imagining different outcomes. Don’t feel impatience. Don’t feel doubt. Don’t feel anxious in any way. For example, we want to plan a vacation in Florida in the late winter/early spring to visit each set of parents. I am closing my eyes and thinking of warm sunshine and beautiful palm trees. He is fretting about weather and gas mileage, wondering if it’s the right decision to drive versus flying. And I say, “Hey! We made up our minds, and so now let’s just enjoy our decision!” I am floating downstream with the current, and he is paddling upstream for some reason. He insists that he wants to get to the same “mental place” at the end of the stream as I do, but I tell him that he apparently wants to paddle up stream first and walk along the banks. WAY too much unnecessary work, in my humble opinion.

    I LOVE your blog, Holly!
